VMWare workstation full screen not working with Ubuntu Linux guest

Recently after upgrading my xubuntu version, the full screen was not working, even with open-vm-tools installed. Here is what I did to get the full screen working.

I am using Xubuntu, on my virtual machine. But this should work with other flavors as well.

Go to file manager open the following file.
/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/open-vm-tools.service

In the top, there will be [Unit] section. Add the following lines in bold text, at the bottom of unit section, as shown in the code below.

[Unit]
Description=Service for virtual machines hosted on VMware
Documentation=http://open-vm-tools.sourceforge.net/about.php
ConditionVirtualization=vmware
DefaultDependencies=no
Before=cloud-init-local.service
Requires=graphical.target
After=graphical.target

[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/bin/vmtoolsd
TimeoutStopSec=5

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

Save the file. You may need root permissions to save/edit the file. Enter your sudo password if needed.

Then run the following commands in the terminal.  Or restart your guest(ubuntu) system in vmware workstation.

sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo service open-vm-tools restart.

This should fix the full screen issue.
